Dattie was born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam in a family where music and singing never stopped. Her passion for singing took root early on, although she never imagined it would one day become her calling.
All it took was a defining moment during a high school singing competition that ignited Dattie's aspirations. From that point on, she embarked on a path that would lead her to pursue her musical dreams with unwavering determination.
In 2018, Dattie took her first steps into the spotlight at the renowned Binh Minh Jazz Club, marking the beginning of her singing career. Amidst the intimate ambiance of Hanoi's jazz scene, she honed her craft and captivated audiences with her soulful performances.
In November 2023, Dattie made her digital debut with the release of her first two singles, "Dindi" and "Autumn in New York," drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of jazz standards. The beautiful rendition of "Dindi" by Antonio Carlos Jobim quickly emerged as a listener favorite, amassing over 100,000 plays on Spotify within five months.
Building on the success of her initial releases, Dattie unveiled her holiday EP, "Merry Christmas," featuring beloved classics such as "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" and "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve," alongside her original composition, "My Christmas Song (It Took Me For So Long)."
In a poignant tribute to her Vietnamese roots, Dattie released "Du Am," her first Vietnamese single composed by Nguyen Van Ty, on April 28, 2024. Just two days later, she published an enchanting music video for "Du Am," further showcasing her artistry and storytelling prowess.
In October 2024, Dattie released two new singles: "Autumn in Hanoi" written by Ryan Griffith, and "So the Skies Can Be Blue Again", an original composition by Dattie herself.
